COOL project represented at International Ocean Colour Science meeting 2025 (IOCS)

The International Ocean Colour Science Meeting 2025 took place between the 1st and 4th December 2025. It brought together the Earth Observation community with the overarching theme this year of 'Ocean Colour: serving Earth system science & our society'.

The International Ocean Colour Science Meeting 2025 took place between the 1st and 4th December 2025. It brought together the Earth Observation community with the overarching theme of Ocean Colour: serving Earth system science & our society.

Marie-Helene RIO from ESA-ESRIN (top image above) gave a presentation during the opening session entitled: Ocean Colour Application and Research at the European Space Agency. This included an update on related ESA activities including new projects which included mention of COOL. COOL took part in the poster session with a poster introducing the project:

A number of project participants from COOL were at the conference including co-leads Dr Victor Martinez-Vicente, Dr Gemma Kulk, project manager Elin Meek and Tiit Kutser.
